Suitcase Drawer
Created for an Amazon AR and VR product pipeline, this asset combines clean hard-surface cabinetry with detailed ornamental hardware. The structural frame, drawer fronts, and metal reinforcing corners were built entirely in Maya, utilizing strategic polygon placement to ensure perfectly sharp edges and optimized topology. The heavy leather handles and mounting straps were modeled using clean, low-poly geometry that follows their curved silhouettes, ensuring they remain lightweight and highly performant for web-based 3D viewers.
The texturing follows a comprehensive PBR workflow to manage a diverse range of physical materials. The main panels are treated with a clean, low-gloss white finish, contrasting against the rich, textured appearance of the leather borders and handles. I authored precise metallic and roughness maps for the rows of metallic rivets, corner brackets, and the wood-grained central trim, ensuring the mixed-media surfaces interact realistically with dynamic light setups.
