Sloopy The Snail

I built this piece to tell a clear visual story using the character's expressive posture and worried face as he hesitates at the water's edge. Instead of focusing on just a standalone character, I designed the entire miniature environment to frame him. I used the sweeping, organic curves of the leaves and the placement of the smooth stones to naturally direct the viewer's eye right to the character.

For the texturing, I wanted the color palette to feel warm, soft, and inviting. I focused on clean gradients on the leaves and base, combining rich, vibrant blues with warm sandy tones to create a pleasing contrast. By keeping the surface details smooth and relying on broad color transitions, the entire scene feels like a seamless, readable slice of an animated world.
