Chest Concept

I designed this asset to capture the look and feel of a classic, high-tier fantasy RPG reward. The goal was to build a strong silhouette using exaggerated, chunky shapes that immediately communicate value and mystery. I paid close attention to the flow of the gold filigree and the wing motifs, making sure the stylized curves frame the central lock mechanism beautifully.

The texturing was focused on clean material definition. I wanted a clear, striking contrast between the polished gold framing, the cool teal wood paneling, and the sharp silver wing accents. Instead of relying on heavy surface noise, I used smooth color gradients and hand-painted lighting highlights to make the chest look incredibly crisp, readable, and appealing under any in-game lighting environment.
